Scan Destroyer™ — Privacy Policy

The short version
Scan Destroyer™ collects nothing about you. It has no network code in it at all — not analytics, not crash reporting, not update checks, not a single server it can talk to. Your images never leave your Mac, because the app has no way to send them anywhere.

What we collect
Nothing.
There are no accounts, no sign-in, no email capture, no usage analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party SDKs embedded in the app. We do not build a profile of you, because we receive no information from which one could be built.
What the app stores on your Mac
Scan Destroyer™ is sandboxed, which means macOS restricts it to its own private storage plus the specific files and folders you choose. Inside its own container it keeps:

All of that lives at `~/Library/Containers/net.twentytwomediaco.ScanDestroyer/`. It stays on your Mac. It is never transmitted, and we cannot see it.
Files you create
When you open an image, export a result, save a recipe, or share a preset, you choose the location yourself through a standard macOS file dialog. The app can only read and write where you point it — that is enforced by macOS, not merely promised by us.
Exported images and their optional `.recipe.json` sidecar files are written only to the folder you select. Recipe files describe how an image was destroyed — settings, seeds, and the source file's path. They contain no personal information beyond that path, but if you share a recipe file with someone, be aware the path travels with it.
What Apple sees
Because Scan Destroyer™ is distributed through the Mac App Store, Apple handles downloads and any purchase. Apple's own privacy policy governs that, and we never see your payment details.
If you have turned on **Share with App Developers** in your Mac's privacy settings, Apple may pass us aggregated, anonymous crash and usage statistics through App Store Connect. That is the only information we could ever receive about the app's use, it is anonymous, it never contains your images or files, and you can switch it off in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Links out of the app
The Privacy Policy items in the app's Help menu and About panel open this page in your default web browser. At that point your browser and our website apply, not the app.
Children
Scan Destroyer™ is a graphics tool suitable for general audiences. It collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Deleting everything
Move the app to the Trash and delete `~/Library/Containers/net.twentytwomediaco.ScanDestroyer/`. That removes every preset, texture, capture, and preference the app ever created. Images you exported are ordinary files and stay where you saved them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and the updated version is published at this address. Since the app collects nothing, any future change would most likely mean a new feature we would describe here before shipping it.
