XBox Live Achievement Site
// January 9th, 2009 // Video Games
While I’m thinking about it, here’s some screen shots of my unfinished XBL Achievements system thing I’ve been working on for a while now. It’s pretty straight forward, and once I get done, I’ll make usernames for all of you if you want to use it for your own achievement-tracking purposes. Anyway, pics below:

Once logged in, you see your list of games

Once you click a specific game, you see it's list of achievements

As you unlock achievements, click on the Achievement Points Number on the right, and it will mark that achievement as unlocked, and gray it out

That’s sweet dood… I like the layout a lot.
I’d still like to know a little bit more about it though – like how you’re getting the data for the achievements list, and it’s details… Are you screenscraping? Did you get an xbox dev api or something? or what?
Anywho – looks slick, and I was really glad to read that you were gonna let us use it too!
Nice new sexy WP theme as well. A bit too purple for my tastes, but the layout itself is sharp.
Thanks man. There’s still a good ways to go on it before its anywhere near being completed. But its getting there
And all of the data for the games and achievements were typed by myself and Alicia. Like I was saying the other day, as far as I know there isn’t an API that lets you pull a users achievements, or the whole achievements database. That would help out tremendously, but I searched everywhere I could for one and never could find one. These were basically all of the API’s that I found: http://tinyurl.com/79mlps
The main point of this site (for me) was while I’m playing a game, I can have my laptop/iphone/any computer beside me and let me just keep a running list of what I’ve completed and what’s still available to unlock. Basically, the site is just a checklist that you mark off as you go. I’d really like to make it more iPhone (or small screen, period) friendly, just so that you don’t have to depend on having a computer right there at all times.
As soon as I can get the site to at least 90%, I’ll give you all logins and let you use it.
Sweetness. Neato concept
I’ve got enough crap in WoW to worry about.. I hope I don’t get hooked on achievements like you guys.
Daryl: Sweet, I unlocked the “200 Achievements Achievement”!
Josh: Awesome! Wanna celebrate with some crack cocaine?
Daryl: Crack? No way, this is way more addicting!
Alicia (in the background): We’re out of Mountain Dew?! How are we going to stay up all night?!!
Okay, so I exaggerate a bit.
Thanks man
And don’t worry, you’ll be completely addicted to achievements before too terribly long. Oh and you forgot to add Jason in there, he’s addicted to them too! I think it’s just part of owning a 360, and although it may take a few months to kick in, it will definitely kick in
It kind of reminds me of back in the day when I’d get a new deck/booster pack of Magic: the Gathering cards — that smell when you first opened the pack — it HAD to be poof of some illegal drug or something in that little wrapper because getting new decks/booster packs became an addiction. lols.
Lol, and yes, that’s almost an accurate depiction of us
jk
I agree about the MTG packs being drugged; you’re not the only person I’ve heard that from. I know the feeling, too, but just thought I was overly excited about the game
As far as achievements, WoW has enough to keep me busy
